Becky G is taking a break from her demanding 2026 schedule to focus on family time and holiday rituals.
The L.A.-based singer spent the year releasing her fifth studio album, Baraja Bendita, and filming a new movie. The album earned a nomination for Top Latin Pop Album of the Year at the 2026 Billboard Latin Music Awards. She also led a cross-country headlining tour and partnered with Patrón on a limited-edition bottle for the Our Rainwater Project.
That Patrón collaboration helped fund 200 rainwater harvesting systems for households in Jalisco, Mexico. The singer says she has been working nonstop and is now looking forward to reconnecting with her family and eating good food.
“I’ve been away from home a lot more this year. I’ve definitely been putting my head down and grinding it out, so I’m looking forward to family time,” she said. “It’ll be a fun holiday, for sure.”
Her holiday plans include making annual tamales and participating in Las Posadas, a nine-day religious celebration running from December 16 to December 24. She describes gift-giving as her favorite part of the season, preferring items that show thought and intention.
“Now more than ever, there’s a unity that we need as a community and a time that we need with our family,” she said. “It’s a beautiful reminder of what really matters in life.”
Becky G lists specific items on her shopping list, including Palo Santo and sage for cleansing spaces. She also highlights a Patrón silver tequila bottle, which she notes was a popular trade item in past white elephant exchanges. She plans to gift bottles from her Rainwater Project collection to friends.
For beauty products, she recommends the Dezi Skin Agua Fresca Moisturizer, a fragrance-free gel-cream containing niacinamide and hyaluronic acid. She also suggests a Mexican coffee set for her team, which includes Café de Olla and Oaxaca Reserve beans. She enjoys curating matching color schemes for family members and saving wrapping paper for reuse.
Her stocking stuffer ideas include tin candles, such as apple cinnamon and pine scents from Soy Latina Candles, and practical items like hand wipes and lip balm. She says she often packs stockings until they overflow.
The singer will begin her Las Posadas observances next month, starting on December 16, following her tour commitments.
