The Baltimore Ravens face the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, Nov. 1, at 1 p.m. ET in Orchard Park, New York. The matchup serves as an immediate test for the offense, which has struggled in recent weeks. The Ravens are 4-3, while the Bills hold a 5-1 record and lead the AFC East.
Lamar Jackson is expected to start at quarterback after missing the previous three games with a high ankle sprain. He participated fully in practice all week and had no injury designation on the final injury report, according to NFL.com. Coach Jesse Minter confirmed on Friday that the team expected Jackson to play.
The team’s performance has varied sharply since Jackson’s return to the starting lineup. Baltimore went 3-1 in the first four games of the season. Since then, backup Tyler Huntley has started three games, resulting in a 1-2 record. This includes a 13-10 loss to Cleveland and a 35-13 home loss to Cincinnati, where the Bengals erased a 13-0 lead.
Jackson completed 70.8% of his passes for 967 yards, six touchdowns, and one interception in his four starts. Huntley completed 69.8% of his passes for 727 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception in four appearances. The difference in offensive output is visible in the team's win-loss record over these two distinct periods.
Jackson described his ankle pain as bearable this week, noting that he can move better than before. He stated that the sense of urgency is extremely high. The team's trust in his ability to play is evidenced by his full week of practice. However, how freely he runs in Buffalo will determine the effectiveness of the offense, as his mobility is a key defensive challenge for opponents.
The Bills are a rested opponent for Jackson, who is 2-4 against Josh Allen and Buffalo, including the playoffs. This record is tied for his second-worst against any opponent, according to NFL Research. Their last meeting ended in a 41-40 Buffalo victory in Orchard Park during the 2025 season opener. The Bills have lost only once this season, a 29-26 home loss to New England in Week 4.
Weather conditions should not impact the game, unlike many late-season trips to western New York. The National Weather Service forecast calls for mostly sunny skies, a temperature near 67 degrees at kickoff, and a light south wind around 6 mph. The chance of rain is listed at 2% through the afternoon.
The game airs on CBS, which is WJZ-TV Channel 13 in the Baltimore market. Ian Eagle provides play-by-play, Ross Tucker serves as the analyst, and Evan Washburn reports from the sideline. Fans can also listen on WBAL 1090 AM and 98 Rock 97.9 FM, with Kyle Youmans and Rod Woodson. Spanish-language coverage is available on WLZL El Zol 107.9 FM with David Andrade and Allen Gutierrez. Streaming options include Paramount+ and NFL+ for local viewers.
A win would move the Ravens back to two games over .500 with Jackson healthy. A loss would drop them to .500 midway through the season. The schedule remains tight, with Baltimore hosting the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday, Nov. 5, at 8:15 p.m. The team then hosts the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday, Nov. 16, at 8:15 p.m. Both upcoming games are at home, which may aid a quarterback still managing an ankle injury on short rest.
