The Waldorf School of Baltimore will open its campus to the public for its 38th annual fair on Sunday, November 15. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the school located at 4801 Tamarind Road.
Admission to the fair is free, though attendees must purchase tickets for specific activities. The program is designed to provide interactive experiences for children, including beeswax candle rolling, a pumpkin catapult, and an immersive Fairy Grotto.
Children can also attempt to play a musical instrument or search for the Traveling Pocket Fairy. A marionette show performed by Waldorf teachers serves as a central attraction. These performances are the result of evening rehearsals by the staff, and organizers advise visitors to book these slots in advance.
The fair also includes elements aimed at adults. Local artists will sell handmade goods, allowing attendees to begin holiday shopping early. Live music, hot cider, food trucks, and warm pretzels are available on site. A community bake sale is part of the food offerings.
The event reflects the school's educational philosophy, which emphasizes hands-on creation and imagination. The fair provides a structured environment for families to engage with these concepts outside the classroom.
