The United States prepares for a decisive voting day on Tuesday, November 3, as top party figures mobilize their final efforts to sway undecided voters. President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance have launched a coordinated final push, with candidates across the country hitting the road for one last day of outreach before the polls close.

The path to this final stretch has been marked by a series of strategic shifts. Over the past month, Trump staged more than 25 rallies in predominantly conservative areas. He described a stop in Kansas on Sunday as the final stop of his 2026 midterm tour. However, for Monday’s closing message, he is returning to the capital.

Trump is scheduled to speak at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in Washington, DC, at 2 p.m. ET. This location presents a complex backdrop. The administration’s renovation of the landmark ran nearly three months behind schedule and cost more than ten times the initial budget. Furthermore, the new “American-flag blue” liner began peeling shortly after the work was declared complete, according to the Associated Press.

In a recent interview on the New York Post’s Pod Force One podcast, Trump outlined his strategy for a potential split government. He said he would become “Mr. Veto” if working with a Democratic-controlled Congress. “It wouldn’t be the first time [we] have a president and he doesn’t have the Senate. They set stuff up, you veto it. After a month or two of getting things vetoed, they come over, and you make a deal,” he stated.

Vance is focusing on New York, where he is due in Rome early Monday at 9:15 a.m. ET. He is rallying support for Republican House candidates Anthony Constantino and Kailee Buller. Constantino is seeking to succeed Representative Elise Stefanik, who is not seeking re-election. A Siena Research Institute poll indicates the race is competitive despite an 80,000-voter Republican registration advantage in the district.

Democrats are targeting critical Senate races in Michigan and Texas. Abdul El-Sayed, the Democratic Senate candidate in Michigan, is holding a canvass rally at Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti. He will then travel to Flint at 1:30 p.m. ET, Royal Oak at 3:30 p.m. ET, and Detroit at 4:30 p.m. ET for a final rally. In Texas, James Talarico and Gina Hinojosa are holding a joint rally in Austin at 6:30 p.m. CT to push for the Senate and governorship, respectively.

Polls indicate Talarico is narrowly ahead of Republican opponent Ken Paxton, while the race for governor has tightened. Paxton is scheduled to appear in Conroe at 12 p.m. CT and Allen at 6:30 p.m. CT. In Maine, Democrat Troy Jackson is making stops in Yarmouth, Scarborough, South Portland, and Portland from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET. In Iowa, Josh Turek is touring Harlan, Onawa, Le Mars, and Sioux City from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. CT.

A legal battle is also unfolding regarding voting procedures. A federal judge in Washington is hearing a lawsuit early Monday over the presence of immigration agents at polling places. Common Cause, UnidosUS, LULAC, and Denver are challenging the administration’s position that armed ICE agents may enter polling places. Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin said in September that agents would not patrol sites but could enter to respond to threats or serve warrants. The plaintiffs argue this violates federal restrictions on armed personnel and could intimidate voters.
