Baltimore residents can now claim two free rides to cast their ballots in the 2026 midterm elections.

Lime, the electric scooter and bike operator, is covering the cost of travel to polling stations, early voting sites, and ballot drop boxes through November 3.

Riders must enter the code VOTE26 in the Lime app to unlock the offer. The promotion is valid from October 24 through Election Day.

Emily Salazar, who leads social impact and advocacy at Lime, said the move aims to remove logistical hurdles for voters. She stated that transportation should not prevent someone from participating in democracy.

This year, Lime is collaborating with HeadCount, a nonprofit group that focuses on voter registration. The two organizations created a shared information hub to help users find registration resources and election details.

Lucille Wenegieme, the executive director of HeadCount, noted that pairing reliable information with free transport helps people in areas with difficult transit options. She emphasized that such steps make civic participation easier for eligible voters.

The free rides cover the first 30 minutes of each trip. Standard rates apply to any time beyond that limit. The offer is available to all riders regardless of political preference, and Lime does not endorse any specific candidate or ballot measure.

Users cannot combine this deal with other discounts or save it for later use. It is also not valid for LimePass subscribers or guests on group rides. Riders should check the app to ensure their destination is within the service area before heading out.
